How Much Does a Website Cost in Pakistan in 2026?

7 min readNexGen Technologies

Quotes for the same brief routinely range from PKR 40,000 to PKR 1.5 million. Here is what sits behind those numbers, and how to tell which one you are being offered.

Ask five Pakistani agencies to price the same website and you will get five numbers that do not resemble each other. That is not because four of them are lying. It is because "a website" describes anything from a one-page template filled in over an afternoon to a platform with logins, payments and an admin system behind it.

The honest price bands

These are the ranges we see across the market in 2026, including our own work. They assume a real designer and developer are involved rather than a purchased theme with the demo content swapped out.

  • Template site, 3–5 pages: PKR 40,000 – 120,000. Fine for a landing page. Usually needs replacing within two years.
  • Custom business website, 6–10 pages with a CMS: PKR 150,000 – 500,000.
  • Ecommerce store on Shopify or WooCommerce: PKR 250,000 – 800,000, depending on catalogue size and integrations.
  • Custom web application with logins and workflows: PKR 400,000 upwards, often well beyond.

What actually moves the number

Page count matters far less than people expect. Five pages and ten pages cost nearly the same if the ten are variations of the same layout. What genuinely changes the price is the number of distinct problems the site has to solve.

  • Integrations. Every payment gateway, courier API or accounting system is a separate piece of work with its own failure cases.
  • Content. If you have no copy and no photographs, someone has to produce them, and that is a real line item.
  • Logic that is specific to you. Standard checkout is cheap; your particular bulk pricing rules are not.
  • Ownership of the code. A locked platform is cheaper up front and more expensive to leave.

Why the cheapest quote is usually the most expensive

A PKR 40,000 website is not a smaller version of a PKR 400,000 one. It is a different thing: a theme, a handful of plugins, and no time budgeted for the parts nobody sees. It will usually load slowly on a phone, will not be structured for search, and cannot be extended without being rebuilt.

The cost shows up later, and it shows up twice — once in the customers who left because the site was slow or confusing, and once when you pay again to have it done properly. If your budget genuinely is PKR 40,000, a well-configured Shopify store or a single strong landing page will serve you far better than a cheap ten-page site.

Questions worth asking before you sign

  • Who owns the code and the domain when this is finished?
  • Can my team edit the content without paying you?
  • What happens if the site goes down in six months — is that included?
  • Is this a custom build or a purchased theme? Both are valid; the price should differ.
  • What is explicitly not included in this number?

Any agency worth hiring will answer all five without hesitating. If a quote arrives before anyone has asked what your business actually does, it is a guess wearing a number.
