Every plugin is code you did not write, loading on pages that do not need it, and a door you now have to keep locked. Most sites we inherit run thirty or more; most need under ten. Removing the rest is usually the single biggest speed and security win available, and it costs less than any optimisation plugin.
Security is configuration, not a badge
Almost every compromised WordPress site we see was running an outdated plugin, an admin account with a weak password, or file permissions that let the web server write to its own code. We fix the configuration, remove the injected content, close the way back in, and set up the updates and backups that keep it from recurring.

- Usually, yes. We remove the injected content, find how the attacker got in — it is almost always an outdated plugin or a weak admin password — close it, and harden the site so it does not recur. Cleaning without finding the entry point just delays the next one.
- Can you make our WordPress site faster?
- Almost always, and rarely with a plugin. Most gains come from removing unnecessary plugins, fixing oversized images, adding proper caching and moving to hosting configured for WordPress rather than shared hosting sold on price.
- Should I use WordPress or a custom build?
- WordPress is a good fit for content-led sites your team updates often. If the site is really an application — logins, complex logic, heavy data — WordPress becomes the constraint, and a custom build costs less over its life.
